I can't begin to tell of the horrifying dangers that lurk this land.
I had decided to traverse the desert just beyond the forest's edge. A short while into my journey, I found a small ragged village. They offered me to stay the night, but told me in the morning I MUST go back the way I came. I laughed their offer off and continued my trek into the dark and unforgiving desert.
The heat gave no signs of wavering despite the absence of sunlight. Trekking through the blustering sandstorm was hell and I had begun to fear I was going in circles when out of nowhere the storm let up.
All I could see were dunes for miles. And the hollow moon high a
I want to be the shield that protects the neglected.
I want to be the blade that smites the cruel.
I want to be the map that the lost follow to safety.
I want to be the stones that pave the way home.
I will become the most neglected, to be a more stalwart shield.
I will become the most cruel, to be a more wicked blade.
I will become the most lost, to learn the one right way.
I will become the most savage, to keep the wild at bay.
So even if I become:
a hypocrite
a liar
a scoundrel
a monster
I will go forward knowing that I was also:
I'm scared.
Of you, who so far outstrip me.
Of how you make me feel, when you do what it is you do.
Of myself, and how I don't find myself enough for you.
Of others, and how they must see how I am not good enough for you.
Of the past, because it dictates bad outcomes.
Of the future, because it is so uncertain.
Of the present, because I feel I keep fucking up.
Of everything, because it just scares me.
I'm scared.
Give me your light...
It's been too long, my will is broken, my means discarded.
I can't stand anymore
I'm done for
My last bastion of hope fled.
My people abandoned me.
I care not.
I'm done for
But still you come
You found me when I was at the end.
And you gave me your light...
Light enough to raise the dead.
And that's what you did for me
You made me rise from the dead.
Walking down the street late at night, Mia was just calmly trying to make her way home. Work had run late and it was well 10PM. She couldn't wait to arrive at home, and in her haste she took a short cut between two houses. And perched on a ledge she saw a white cat. Walking up to the cat, it stood its ground as it watched her. Mia began petting it as she checked it for any tags. No collar, no tags, nothing. With a little bit of a smirk Mia lifts the cat up and carries it with her, if it was no ones she was just gonna have to take care of it.
Arriving at home, Mia lay back to go to sleep and the cat leaped onto her bed. Realizing she didn't h
He noticed something out of the corner of his eye. He checks the site to see new art from content creators he otherwise doesn't follow. Somewhere he can stash things so he can bring them up for friends later. It's really nothing important for him. But he saw it.
Someone had followed him.
He smiles sheepishly in spite of himself. He doesn't think much of his works. So he browses their page, and sees art that makes him want to write again. Art that makes him want to write for this person. Draw for them.
But... that'd be weird. He backs off a bit. Decides he just needs to be more active so as to not disappoint.
They probably don't realize ho
I believe in equality of human beings.
No human is a lesser creature for the colour of their skin, their country of origin, their gender, their beliefs, their social status, their monetary status or their age.
I believe that women deserve to be treated as equals to men, that neither gender (or any gender beyond the two) is greater or lesser. I believe that women and men deserve equal pay, provided they meet equal standards. I believe men needn't put up a front of chivalry for the archaic stereotypes of the "weak, lesser female" but SHOULD still have the courtesy to by kind and considerate. I believe women need not fit into defined appearance
Come this August, it'll have been 5 years ago since I met Letty.
Now, I know that name means nothing, at least not to you... But trust me, I'll try to explain. Letty wasn't just any girl, she was a smartass, sarcastic, playful to a fault, cynical, defeatist, short-attention spanned, tomboyish girl. But that must paint her in a bad light. Maybe that's how you should see it first...
Year 1
I met Letty in August, when I was out for a walk. I ran into a pretty girl in the tiny forested area near my house. She had long, waist length black hair. When she noticed me walking along the paths down there she gave me a look that could pierce anyones h

For Those Who Live The Dream
We won't stand down.
This is the day from those of us who were mocked for being us.
We've taken a lot of people's shit and kept standing and we won't stand down.
Everyone stomps all over us trying to blot out our dreams.
And we won't let it happen.
These are our days now.
Those of us who shout at the sky our devotion for others as we steal kisses by the fire.
Those of us who try to mean more to others than just the best friend or the good listener.
Those of us who refuse to be told what they can and can't do and live life dangerously.
Those of us who embrace their mortality and wait for the world to catch up.
Those of us who get hammered wit
When you stop chasing the wrong things, you give the right things a chance to catch you. So starting today…
Give up trying to be perfect.
The real world doesn't reward perfectionists, it rewards people who get things done.
Give up comparing yourself to others.
The only person you are competing against is yourself.
Give up dwelling on the past or worrying too much about the future.
Right now is the only moment guaranteed to you. Right now is life. Don't miss it.
Give up complaining.
Do something about it.
Give up holding grudges.
Grudges are a waste of perfect happiness.
Give up waiting.
What we don't start today won't be finish
His breath slowed as he closed in on his prey. He could hear their breath, smell their fear. He readied the blade he would steal the mark with and made his move. Out from the brush he bolted after the girl who only just realized she was being stalked. She sheathes her blade and turns to run for it. He can't believe it, now he had her.
In a few quick strides he was beside her and she turned to face him, he admired such bold prey. She dove at him with her knife out and as he turn to dodge he felt a blade drag across his back. A trap. Two others stood over him as the girl and the other man prepared to take their marks on him. Begrudgingly he le
Allen sighed as he worked at the machinery and pistons encased in the psuedo-skin. He was trying to rework the internal gear drive and the pumpstation beside it was causing problems. He tried to move it, and tried to remove it. But just as the organ it emulated, it was difficult to work with. He sighed and shut the panel. Doing a quick touch up on the outer skin he looked over his creations. And then he typed the activating command.
"Here goes nothing." He muttered.
With a lot of humming and whirring as it powered up, the sounds came to a silence as it opened it's eyes.
"Hydraulics: Online. Spacial Sensors: Active. Optics: Activated. Hello
So here's the rundown, life is a game.
The people are the pieces.
The restrictions are the rules.
The freedoms are gifts.
Luck is determined by dice.
Events happen based on movement.
We can only move down the set path.
And to die is to lose.
So, how about we play?
I challenge you to see who burns out quicker.
Life is just a game, the question is whether you want to play or not.
And if not...
Then stay out of my way, I'm on a winning streak.
After a few hours her best friend picked her up from her house.
Lillian had just spent the day with the guy she absolutely adored, she was really happy about being able to be with him that day and she hadn't stopped smiling until a few minutes before calling Tiff about it.
So Tiff showed up and was driving with Lillian in the passenger seat.
"So how'd your date go anyways?" Tiff asked
"One, it wasn't a date. And two... We went to that amusement park, and he took me around and bought me sweets. Took me on all the roller coasters, especially the ones I was scared of. We managed to catch a movie too, some action flick he wanted to see.." Lil

The Most Drunken Night at The Fancy Cobra
For deviantART's 12th birthday, the staff decided to throw a shiny surprise party for Fella. They gathered at Fella's favorite restaurant, The Fancy Cobra, with presents in hand. Llama brought Fella to the door and once they stepped in, all of the staff screamed, "SHAZAM!!" Fella was so shocked that he instantly squicked. He opened his presents to find that Llama had given him 12 lice. He was amazed! He would never forget that night.
As another layer wilts
The terrifying crimons blooms
The passion grows and fills
It's loving fire looms.
But each new bloom will wilt and fall
Each rose bud will reach new light
Til plucked and trimmed for loves call
A crimson passion for ones sight
But each new wilt, brings new day
Unless trimmed, then forever wilted will stay.
